ABOUT Funnel Cake RECIPE

It s believed that this sweet, crispy dish is created by Pennsylvannia Dutch, a group of German immigrants who landed there before 19th century. This cake is actually made with a funnel. A fried delicious cake, can be taken as a snack or along with ice cream, puddings & all.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Maida 1 1/2 cups
  2. Eggs 2
  3. Milk 1cup
  4. Sugar 1/4 cup
  5. Salt a pinch
  6. Baking powder 2 pinches.
  7. powdered sugar & cinnamon powder for dusting on top.
  8. Oil for frying.

Instructions

  1. Mix maida,eggs,sugar, baking powder & enough milk to make a smooth thick batter.
  2. Take a funnel, or anything with a bigger hole than jalebi maker.
  3. Heat oil .Pour the mixture in the funnel & spread in hot oil. You can make it like a big jalebi or pour batter in small pieces. fry both sides. Take out and dust with sugar and cinnamon.
