Gulab Jamun

Ingredients to make Gulab Jamun

  • 2 Cups Milk Powder
  • 1/2 cup Plain yogurt
  • 2 tsp milk
  • 1/2 cup maida
  • 1 cup sugar + 1/2 cup water
  • ghee for frying
  • Raisins for stuffing (soak in hot water for 1 hr)

How to make Gulab Jamun

  1. Mix milk powder,maida and yogurt and make a nice dough. Add milk if needed . The dough must be soft and smooth.
  2. Make medium size balls and stuff them with 3 raisins each and fry till golden brown.
  3. Heat sugar and water together. Add cardamom powder and saffron and make sugar syrup of one strand. Place hot fried gulab jamun in it and keep it for 2-3 hrs . Serve hot .

My Tip:

You can roll your gulab jamun over desiccated coconut.
