ABOUT Crispy Bitter Gourd Chips(Karela chips) RECIPE

Crispy bitter-gourd chips is a tasty and a good choice for those who don't like bitter gourd. Most of us avoid this healthy vegetable because of its bitterness. But the crunchy and crispy chips version is the best solution.It is also good for diabetic patients.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bitter gourd - 3
  2. Corn flour 2 tblsp
  3. Rice flour 2tblsp
  4. pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2tsp
  6. ginger Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  7. salt
  8. oil

Instructions

  1. Cut bitter gourd into long slices.
  2. Take a bowl and add corn flour, rice flour, pepper powder, red chilly powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, red colour(optional. Mix well. You can adjust the spices more or less as per your taste.
  3. Add water and mix nicely to bajji (pakoda)batter consistency.
  4. Place bitter gourd and mix nicely. Allow it rest for 5 min.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the bitter gourd chip until it is crispy, Fry on slow flame initially and later on high flame.
  6. Transfer onto paper towel. Once it cools down transfer into air tight container. They can be stored for 15 days.
  7. Now enjoy these crispy chips.
