Potato Pancakes

Ingredients to make Potato Pancakes

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 finaly chopped onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1 large green chilli chopped
  • 1 handful coriander
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Mixed Herbs (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • oil for shallow frying

How to make Potato Pancakes

  1. Wash the potatoes and grate them.
  2. Take a bowl full of water. Add grated potatoes and cover with a lid
  3. While in a bowl take eggs, flour, green chillies chopped, salt, pepper mixed herbs, red chilli powder, coriander and whisk .
  4. Make sure no lumps form.
  5. Take grated potatoes out of water. Rinse.
  6. Now in the batter add in chopped onion and grated potatoes .
  7. Mix with the hand.
  8. In a sauce pan heat oil.
  9. And make pancakes with the batter
  10. Once both sides are golden brown and crispy, remove .
  11. Serve with schezwan sauce.

My Tip:

If vegetarian, use gram flour instead of eggs.
