  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • a pinch of red chili powder

How to make Stuffed Moong Dal Rolls

  1. Wash and soak the dal for 3-4 hrs.
  2. Then drain all water and wash it again . Grind in a grinder with 1/4 cup of water
  3. Take out dal in a bowl . Add all spices and mix well and make smooth batter. (If you think batter is thick then you can add water). Batter should like dosa batter
  4. In a bowl add all stuffing ingredients and mix well.
  5. Now heat a skillet or pan . Grease the pan . When the skillet is hot then turn the gas on medium and spread a ladle full of batter to a thin disc. Sprinkle little oil and cook on medium heat till the underside is done.
  6. Then flip it , sprinkle little oil and cook it on the other side too. Cook it both sides until it become little brown in color.
  7. When is done then cook for a minute on high gas for crispy (it is optional step)
  8. Now spread the 2 tablespoon paneer Stuffing on one side then fold as in a roll. (Be careful while doing this step because skillet is hot and roll too)
  9. Take out roll from the skillet and keep it on the plate . cut the pieces into four or five .
  10. Garnish with Paneer and carrots. Serve with green chutney or sweet chutney. Enjoy crispy , spicy Moong dal roll

My Tip:

You can adjust spices as per your taste. You can add potato, cauliflower etc in stuffing. I am using Green split moong dal, you can use yellow moong dal too
