ABOUT Stuffed Moong Dal Rolls RECIPE

Stuffed moong dal roll is healthy, delicious and easy to make appetizer. It is really good option for any party . You can make it in advance and at the time of party just heat up on skillet or oven and serve hot. It is complete breakfast too .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup green moong dal
  2. 1/2 tbsp salt
  3. 1 tbsp green chili and ginger paste
  4. 1 tsp red chili powder (optional)
  5. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  6. 1/2 tsp mango powder
  7. For stuffing
  8. 1/2 cup crumbled paneer
  9. 1/2 tsp of salt
  10. 1/4 cup grated carrots
  11. 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
  12. 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  13. a pinch of red chili powder

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the dal for 3-4 hrs.
  2. Then drain all water and wash it again . Grind in a grinder with 1/4 cup of water
  3. Take out dal in a bowl . Add all spices and mix well and make smooth batter. (If you think batter is thick then you can add water). Batter should like dosa batter
  4. In a bowl add all stuffing ingredients and mix well.
  5. Now heat a skillet or pan . Grease the pan . When the skillet is hot then turn the gas on medium and spread a ladle full of batter to a thin disc. Sprinkle little oil and cook on medium heat till the underside is done.
  6. Then flip it , sprinkle little oil and cook it on the other side too. Cook it both sides until it become little brown in color.
  7. When is done then cook for a minute on high gas for crispy (it is optional step)
  8. Now spread the 2 tablespoon paneer Stuffing on one side then fold as in a roll. (Be careful while doing this step because skillet is hot and roll too)
  9. Take out roll from the skillet and keep it on the plate . cut the pieces into four or five .
  10. Garnish with Paneer and carrots. Serve with green chutney or sweet chutney. Enjoy crispy , spicy Moong dal roll
