Instructions
Cut cold butter into tiny cubes. put powdered sugar,baking powder and flour in a mixer.add butter.blend at low speed, intermittently(not continuous)till the mixture turns crumbly.Remove from mixer in a paraat.
Knead lightly with ice cold water to from a dough.wrap in a cling wrap & keep in the fridge for 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough cut into rounds using a biscuits cutter or katori bigger than the tart tins making sure that they fit the mould well, covering the sides also. Line with the cut rounds in the tart tins. cut the extra dough by pressing it against the top edge of the tart tin. prick with a fork. bake blind for 15 minutes in the centre of a hot oven at 200°C till golden in colour on the edges.take out the oven.cool on a wire rack.
For the custard, in a kadhai mix custard powder, milk and sugar. microwave for 1 minute. stir and microwave again for 1 minute till very thick with a dropping consis tency. let it cool in the fridge.
To assemble, add cream to the custard.whisk the cooled custard till smooth. spread cooled tart shells with 1tsp jam on the bottom and the sides.fill with thick custard.Top with neatly arranged fruits.Brush warm honey over the arranged fruits in the tart shells.
Serve at room temperature or cold.
