ABOUT Kiwi Halwa RECIPE

Halwa with a fruity taste. Kiwi halwa is a little sweet and a little tangy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 tbsp of Semolina ( roasted )
  2. 1 tbsp of ghee
  3. 500 gms of Kiwi ( sweet preferred)
  4. 6 - 8 tbsp of sugar.
  5. Half cup of khoya ( mawa)
  6. Some fine chopped numbers nuts (almonds, pistachios)
  7. 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder .
  8. 1 cup milk ( optional if your Halwa gets dry while cooking or if you plan to eat next day)

Instructions

  1. Make a puree of Kiwis and keep it aside .
  2. Add ghee in a pan, when it is hot add Semolina and roast it for some time . Add Kiwi puree to it and stir it continuously on medium it so that no lumps are formed .
  3. When the ghee separates from sides add sugar to it and stir. Cook till Semolina is nicely cooked and sugar is dissolved nicely. Add khoya to it and cardamom powder.
  4. Cook till it gets a halwa like consistency. Do not cook too much or else it will become dry
  5. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
