Oats Wood Apple Crumble

Ingredients to make Oats Wood Apple Crumble

  • 150 gm wood apple puree
  • Pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 50 gm sugar or jaggery (grated)
  • I tsp Oats flour
  • Oats crumble -
  • 30 gm oats
  • 30 gm sugar
  • Pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 30 gm chilled white butter, diced
  • 30 gm almond flour
  • Cranberry for garnishing

How to make Oats Wood Apple Crumble

  1. Take the wood apple out from the fridge and mash the pulp so that it completely dissolves into the water. Use a large strainer and strain the entire thick pulpy wood apple juice into a larger bowl.
  2. Heat a pan, add wood apple puree, sugar and cook for 5-7 mins, now add oats flour and cinnamon powder , cook till it get thicker. Turn off the flame and keep it aside.
  3. Oats crumble -
  4. In a bowl mix the oats, sugar, almond flour and cinnamon, then add the butter and crumble the mixture with your hands.
  5. Now take a ramekin mould. Sprinkle a bit of the oat crumble mixture at the bottom. Then add the wood apple filling and sprinkle the rest of the oatmeal mixture on top of it.
  6. Put this in a preheated oven to bake at 140 degrees centigrade for 10 -15 minutes or till the crumble is browned and the wood apple filling look gooey.
  7. Oats Wood Apple Crumble is ready
