Another of my favorite Christmas goodies.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour - 2 cups
  2. Fine rawa/ semolina - 1/2 cup
  3. Sugar - 2 tbsp
  4. Salt 1 pinch
  5. Oil - 2 tbsp
  6. Egg - 1 beaten lightly
  7. Powdered sugar - 1 cup for coating
  8. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Take flour, rawa, sugar and salt in a bowl. Mix lightly.
  2. Add oil and beaten egg. Rub with fingers to mix.
  3. Add water little by little to knead to a soft dough, but not sticky.
  4. Heat oil for deep frying. Keep powdered sugar ready on a plate.
  5. Take small amount of dough, slightly bigger than a pea. Press on the reverse side of a fork. Press firmly so the indents are seen.
  6. Roll from one side, lengthwise.
  7. Make few at a time and deep fry till golden brown. Take out on absorbent paper and sprinkle powdered sugar or dip into the sugar.
  8. Store in a airtight container when cool.
