Raw Mango Sweet Curry

Ingredients to make Raw Mango Sweet Curry

  • Raw mango 250 gms cut into cubes
  • jaggery 100 gms
  • curry leaves 20- 25
  • salt 1 pinch
  • haldi powder 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds 2 tsp
  • oil 2 tsp
  • water 2 cups

How to make Raw Mango Sweet Curry

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. When oil becomes hot add mustard seeds and let it splutter
  3. Next add curry leaves and saute for a min
  4. Add cubed mangoes and mix for a min
  5. Add turmeric powder.
  6. Add grated jaggery( the quantity of jaggery can be increased or decreased depending on your taste )
  7. Mix it and then add water
  8. Lastly add a pinch of salt and let it simmer for 15 - 20 mins.
  9. Once the mixture reaches your desired consistency switch off the flame and serve.

My Tip:

Jaggery can be substituted with sugar but I prefer jaggery as it is the healthier alternative. I always make this dish a little more on the sweeter side as I prefer it that way so add jaggery to suit your taste. It is very important to add mustard seeds when the oil is hot so that it splutters and also curry leaf is a very imp ingredient. Add generous amount of it.
