Grains and Greens Salad

Ingredients to make Grains and Greens Salad

  • Moong sprouted and boiled 1/2 cup
  • wheat soaked overnight and boiled 1/2 cup
  • bajra soaked overnight and boiled 1/4 cup
  • Green chana boiled 1/4 cup
  • spring onion chopped 2 tsp
  • pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1 tsp
  • To make green chutney :
  • palak leaves 8 to 10
  • mint leaves 1/4 cup
  • coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Fresh grated coconut 3 spoons
  • Green chilli 1 or 2
  • ginger 2 big pieces
  • salt to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • oil 1 spoon
  • peanuts powder (coarse) 3 to 4 tsp
  • Red capsicum & spring onion flowers to garnish

How to make Grains and Greens Salad

  1. First let's make green chutney :
  2. In a mixer jar take spinach, mint, coriander,green chillies, ginger, grated coconut, salt, lemon juice and oil.
  3. Grind it to smooth paste.
  4. Keep aside.
  5. In a bowl add boiled moong sprouts, boiled wheat, boiled bajra, boiled green chana.
  6. Season it with salt and pepper powder.
  7. Sprinkle chaat masala
  8. Now mix 3 to 4 tsp green chutney in it.
  9. Toss it well with a spoon.
  10. Now add chopped spring onion.
  11. Sprinkle coarse powder of peanuts.
  12. Garnish with red capsicum and spring onion flowers.
