ABOUT Grains and Greens Salad RECIPE

When on weight loss spree eat this wholesome salad which has grains and greens both in right proportion and lots of fibre to keep you full. So when hunger pangs strikes, just grab this bowl.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Moong sprouted and boiled 1/2 cup
  2. Wheat soaked overnight and boiled 1/2 cup
  3. Bajra soaked overnight and boiled 1/4 cup
  4. Green chana boiled 1/4 cup
  5. Spring onion chopped 2 tsp
  6. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  7. Chaat masala 1 tsp
  8. To make green chutney :
  9. Palak leaves 8 to 10
  10. Mint leaves 1/4 cup
  11. Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  12. Fresh grated coconut 3 spoons
  13. Green chilli 1 or 2
  14. Ginger 2 big pieces
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Juice of 1 lemon
  17. Oil 1 spoon
  18. Peanuts powder (coarse) 3 to 4 tsp
  19. Red capsicum & spring onion flowers to garnish

Instructions

  1. First let's make green chutney :
  2. In a mixer jar take spinach, mint, coriander,green chillies, ginger, grated coconut, salt, lemon juice and oil.
  3. Grind it to smooth paste.
  4. Keep aside.
  5. In a bowl add boiled moong sprouts, boiled wheat, boiled bajra, boiled green chana.
  6. Season it with salt and pepper powder.
  7. Sprinkle chaat masala
  8. Now mix 3 to 4 tsp green chutney in it.
  9. Toss it well with a spoon.
  10. Now add chopped spring onion.
  11. Sprinkle coarse powder of peanuts.
  12. Garnish with red capsicum and spring onion flowers.
