Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup besan
  2. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  3. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  4. 1/2 tsp chilly powder
  5. A pinch of hing
  6. salt to taste
  7. 1 tsp roasted cumin
  8. 1 tsp pudina chopped fine
  9. 1/4 tsp baking soda
  10. 1 big cup curd whisked
  11. oil


  1. Take besan, turmeric, coriander, cumin, chilly, salt and mix well.
  2. Add mint and curd in the bowl along with baking soda.
  3. Knead it into a dough.
  4. Add oil and knead till smooth.
  5. Roll the dough into thin strips and boil in water.
  6. Once done, carefully cut the strips into pieces.
  7. Heat oil in a pan, add chillies and cumin.
  8. Add onions and saute for 3-4 mins.
  9. Add turmeric, corander, hing, chilly powder and salt.
  10. Cook for few minutes and sprinkle some water.
  11. Add curd and mix well. Once the oil comes to the surface add the gattas.
  12. Add coriander leaves and cook for another 5-6 mins.
  13. Serve hot with bajra roti.

May I roast the besain before mixing ingredient
