Ingredients to make Meetha pitha

  • Filling: 2 cup Leftover gajar ka halwa
  • 2 cup rice flour
  • 2/4 tbsp powder sugar
  • Boiled water( for making dough)
  • clarified butter
  • 1 Ltr Milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Dry fruits

How to make Meetha pitha

  1. Boil water.
  2. In a bowl put rice flour and powdered sugar with the help of boiled water make a dough. Now take clarified butter in hand and with the help of it make soft dough and keep aside.
  3. Now take dough and make small balls.
  4. Take a ball make small bowl of it with the help of your hands and fill the fillings in the center of the dough and close it from all sides and give a ball shape. Make others also in same way.
  5. Boil milk add sugar and dryfruits, boil till it gets 1/2 NOw add the balls and cook till the pithas float.
  6. Take out and serve.

My Tip:

Gajar halwa should be dry or else the pithas will break. Instead of gajar halwa you can use khoya.
