Ingredients to make Samosa Squares

  • For stuffing :
  • Mixed Vegetables parboiled 1 cup
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Dry mango powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Roasted peanuts 2 tsp
  • Fresh coconut 2 tbsp
  • Broke wheat 1/2 cup, boiled in 1 1/2 cups of water with salt
  • oil for shallow frying 1/4 cup
  • Spring roll sheets 4

How to make Samosa Squares

  1. Heat oil.
  2. Add coconut, saute for 3-4 mins.
  3. Add all the vegetables.
  4. Add coriander, cumin, turmeric, garam masala powder and salt.
  5. Add dry mango powder.
  6. Add broken wheat.
  7. Add peanuts.
  8. Switch off gas.
  9. Take out the spring roll pastry sheets from freezer, cover them with a moist cloth for 15 mins.
  10. Take each spring roll pastry sheet, put the stuffing.
  11. Fold them as squares, seal the edges with little water.
  12. Shallow fry them in batches until red.
  13. Now serve with ketchup or chutney.
