ABOUT Thumbprint Cookies RECIPE

Yummy chocolate cookies with cocoa powder ganache.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 180 gm all purpose flour
  2. 80 gm butter
  3. 50 gm Caster sugar
  4. 1 tbsp semolina (optional)
  5. 20 gm cocoa powder
  6. 4 tbsp milk
  7. For chocolate ganache-
  8. 20 gm butter
  9. 30 gm Caster sugar
  10. 20 gm cocoa powder
  11. 1 1/2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Mix soft butter into flour in mixing bowl and convert its texture like that of bread crumbs.
  2. Add caster sugar and mix well.
  3. Add semolina and mix it again.
  4. Add cocoa powder and mix well.
  5. Now add milk and form a dough.
  6. Roll the dough in cylindrical shape and cut them in equal size.
  7. Roll the ball smoothly and punch them in centre with help of your thumb.
  8. In a preheated oven, bake cookies at 200 C or 15 min.
  9. For ganache - In a double boiler, melt butter, add all the dry ingredients, add milk and stir.
  10. It should be of running consistency.
  11. Once the cookies are baked, fill the hollow with ganache.
  12. Allow them to cool at room temperature and indulge in the goodness.
