ABOUT Deep Fried Prawns RECIPE

Prawns marinated in masalas easily available in your kitchen and deep fried in oil. Prawns are my favourite when it comes to seafood though I love almost all the seafood :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: and this one is family favourite dish. Explore the recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Prawns - 500 gms
  2. Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tbsp
  3. Red Chilly powder - 1 tbsp
  4. Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  5. Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  6. Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Corainder powder - 1 tsp
  8. corn flour - 2 tbsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Red food colour - a pinch (optional)
  11. Oil - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Clean the prawns thoroughly with water. Devine them and pat dry with kitchen towel. Keep aside.
  2. Take all the above ingredients except oil in a mixing bowl and make them into a smooth paste by adding little water.
  3. Marinate the cleaned prawns on it for atleast 30 mins. The longer marination the better.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  5. When the oil is hot, reduce the heat and drop the prawns and deep fry the in batches in low-medium flame till golden.
  6. Serve it as an appetizer or as a side dish.
