This is a delicious and healthy pulao which can be served as one wholesome meal.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. Rice one medium size bowl
  2. RAw spinach paste 3/4bowl
  3. Chopped onion one
  4. Chopped carrot one
  5. Chopped capsicum one big spoon
  6. Chopped green chilli one
  7. Chopped ginger one spoon
  8. Cumin half spoon
  9. Salt as taste
  10. Black pepper powder half tea spoon
  11. Ghee one spoon
  12. Oil one spoon
  13. Peas half bowl( half boil)
  14. Lemon juice one tea spoon

Instructions

  1. Soak basmati rice for 20 minutes, wash it properly before boiling it.
  2. When the rice is about 3/4 th done , strain it in a sieve.
  3. Heat a pan with some ghee in a pan, when heated, add the cumin seeds.
  4. When the cumin splutters, add ginger, chillies and onion. Saute well.
  5. When the onion is golden brown, add the spinach puree, black pepper, salt, and give it a mix.
  6. Heat another pan with some oil , add the carrots, capsicum and peas, stir well. Once they are fried, switch off the gas.
  7. Once the palak is cooked, mix this and the lemon juice to it, stir and cook on a low flame.
  8. Now mix the cooked rice to it and give it a good mix. Serve hot.
