Whole Wheat Veggie Naan

Ingredients to make Whole Wheat Veggie Naan

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • About 3/4th cup warm milk
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4th cup oil
  • 1 tbsp black seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4th cup bellpeppers ; finely chopped
  • 1/4th cup beans ; finely chopped
  • 1/4th cup carrots ; finely chopped
  • 1/4th cup peas ; slightly mashed
  • 2-3 garlic cloves ; minced
  • 1 tbsp of butter

How to make Whole Wheat Veggie Naan

  1. To the warm milk add in the yeast and set aside to bubble up in a warm place .
  2. Mix up all the ingredients in a large bowl .
  3. Using the milk , knead the dough till everything is well done and set it aside in a warm place to rest for about an hour .
  4. Once done , start by dividing the dough into equal portions . With this recipe , you can make out 15 (or can depend upon the person making it) .
  5. Now with each portion , make out ovals of equal thickness , make sure to take care to be gentle .
  6. When all the ovals are moulded , set them in a warm place preferably for a second round of rising for about 20 mins .
  7. Tava fry these on medium to high heat with some butter .
  8. Serve with your favourite curries or enjoy these with some plain butter .
