ABOUT Home made Chicken Salami RECIPE

My kids are crazy about cold cuts but I do not like store bought ones so here is a home made version which is very easy to make and delicious

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 3/4 kg. Coarsely cut boneless chicken peices
  2. 3 tbsp. Roasted whole wheat flour
  3. Salt as er taste
  4. 1/2 tsp. Pepper powder
  5. 1 tsp. Red chilly or paprika powder
  6. 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
  7. 1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
  8. 1 tbsp ciarsely ground jalapeno peppers (optional)
  9. 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  10. 2-3 tbsp. Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash n dry chicken peices and coarsely chopped into small bits.
  2. Add chicken salt, pepper red chilli powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and water in a chopper
  3. Pulse mixture till a fine mince is formed.
  4. Add roasted wheat powder and pulse till it is incorporated in de mixture.
  5. Grease plate with a few drops of oil. Put mixture on to de plate.
  6. Knead mixture ensuring that there are no air bubbles in it.
  7. Shape like a big Salami roll and wrap tightly in cling film ensuring that all ends are sealed air tight.
  8. Put on a steamer on gas and steam de salami roll for 20 - 25 minutes.
  9. Let it cool completely then refrigerate.
  10. Once cooled thoroughly, slice in to rounds of desired thickness.
  11. Use it de way you want in sandwiches or make rolls in chapati with mint chutney, lemon juice and onions.
