Jeera Aloo

Ingredients to make Jeera Aloo

  • 6 - potatoes
  • 5 curry leaves
  • 5 green chillies chopped
  • 5 tbsp - oil
  • 3 tbsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp - amchur powder
  • 1 tbsp - ginger paste
  • coriander leaves to garnish
  • salt to taste

How to make Jeera Aloo

  1. Boil the potatoes, peel and cut into cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add cumiin seeds and when it splutters, add curry leaves.
  3. Add chopped green chillies and ginger paste. Stir fry 30 seconds.
  4. Now add pre boiled and chopped potatoes .Mix well and saute for 1 minute.
  5. Add salt and amchur powder, mix well. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
  6. Serve hot with puffed wheat puris or bhakhri ( Gujarati crisp thick roti)

My Tip:

Also Can serve as dish in high tea party. Sprinkle chat masala topping with thick curd,sweet sour date chutney, green chillies chutney.Garnish with Sev and finely chopped coriander leaves.
