Methi Muthia

Ingredients to make Methi Muthia

  • 1 cup rice soaked
  • Half cup channa daal soaked
  • One four cup urad dal soaked
  • 2tsp oil
  • 2cup methi leaves chopped
  • Half cup curd
  • 2tsp chilli-ginger paste
  • Onr four tsp baking soda
  • 3tsp seasme seeds
  • 1 tsp carrom seeds
  • salt
  • besan as set consistency
  • for tempering-
  • 2tspoil
  • One and half tsp mustard seeds
  • One four tsp hing
  • 2tsp seasme seeds
  • curry leaves
  • Half tsp red chilli powder

How to make Methi Muthia

  1. Grind soaked rice
  2. Grind both of dal also.
  3. Now mix all the ingredients together with a bit of water and keep aside for ten min.
  4. Now add besan as required. Batter should thick so mix besan and make it thick.
  5. Make muthiya and put them in steamer steam for 15 -20 min.
  6. Let them cool for five minutes.then cut in small sizes
  7. For tempering, heat oil, add in all the ingredients and temper the muthiyas.
  8. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and red chilli powder and coriander leaves.

My Tip:

Lastly we can use lime juice also.
