ABOUT Pista cashew peda RECIPE

This pista cashew is a real delicacy with rich taste. These pedas are soft which has a slight nutty texture. To get the perfect colour and texture we have to powder the nuts in correct consistency.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 100 grams pista
  2. 100 grams whole cashewnuts
  3. 200 ml Condensed Milk
  4. 1 cup Milk powder
  5. 3/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
  6. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  7. 3 tbsp ghee

Instructions

  1. Take a dry chutney jar and add the cashew nuts. Powder it for 2 minutes. Do not grind it like a paste. It should be in powdered form. Transfer it to a bowl and add the pistas. Powder it coarsely. (Before powdering the nuts you can keep in the sunlight for 20 minutes).
  2. Take a broad and heavy bottomed non stick kadai and add the ghee and condensed milk into it. Keep in medium flame and stir until the ghee starts melting.
  3. When the ghee melts, add the milk powder. Stir it in the circular direction for a few minutes.
  4. When you see the bubbles are forming in the mixture, add the cashew powder.
  5. Mix it well and add the pista powder. Do not stop stirring the mixture.
  6. Now add the cardamom powder and stir it continuously with the ladle until it starts to leave the sides of the kadai.
  7. Now transfer it to a greased plate or bowl. When the dough becomes mildly hot or warm add the powdered sugar and knead it well with your greased palms. Then roll it into small balls and flatten it slightly.
  8. Yummy and easy pista cashew pedas are ready. When the pedas cool down store it in an airtight container.
