ABOUT Restaurant Style Garlic and Coriander Tava Naan RECIPE

Naans being most popular Indian bread, surprise your loved ones with this restaurant style naans at comfort of your home. The results are delicious and soft naans. Serve with any spicy veg/ nonveg curry or dal.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the dough:
  2. All purpose flour/ wheat flour - 250grams
  3. Baking powder - 1/4th tspn
  4. Baking soda - 2pinches
  5. Sour curd - 6tspns
  6. Warm water - as required
  7. Salt - according to taste
  8. Water - little
  9. For the topping:
  10. Garlic cloves - finely chopped
  11. Coriander leaves - finely sliced
  12. Unsalted Butter - little

Instructions

  1. Make a soft dough using the ingredients mentioned under 'for the dough'. Set aside for 3 to 4hours.
  2. Chop garlic cloves and coriander leaves to fine pieces and slices.
  3. Take large lime size dough and roll out the roti approximately 5 to 6mm thick.
  4. Sprinkle garlic and coriander and roll gently using rolling pin.
  5. Flip the roti and place the plain surface on top. Apply thin layer of water evenly.
  6. In the meantime heat the tava on medium to high flame.
  7. Place the water surfaced side of roti on tava and cook on high flame till you see bubbles as shown in the pic. Cook for approximately half minute.
  8. Lift and place the tava such that the roti faces direct flame. Cook till roti gets evenly browned.
  9. Transfer roti on serving plate and smear butter.
  10. Serve hot.
