Ingredients to make Strawberry swiss roll

  • for base
  • all purpose flour 1/3 cup
  • Powdered sugar 1/3 cup
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/16 tsp salt
  • Powder sugar to dust 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • For stuffing
  • cream cheese 1/2 cup
  • Heavy cream 1/2 cup
  • Icing sugar 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Strawberry sauce 1/2 cup( made with a pack of fresh strawberries +2 tbsp of sugar and a tbsp of water simmer for about 15 minutes)
  • For garnishing
  • Icing sugar to dust
  • Strawberries

How to make Strawberry swiss roll

  1. Preheat oven at 170'c
  2. Prepare a baking 13"tray with oil and parchment paper
  3. In the meantime make the cake mix.separate egg whites and yolks
  4. Sieve all purpose flour
  5. With a electric beater beat egg whites, gradually add sugar beat till stiff peaks
  6. Add egg yolks one at a time, add salt, vanilla
  7. Fold in maida in 2 batches
  8. Add oil and mix
  9. Pour in the baking tray and tap twice
  10. Bake for 10 minutes check the cake should bounce back when press
  11. On a clear parchment paper dust some icing sugar and flip the cake remove the previous paper and again dust some sugar
  12. Immediately and gently roll the along with paper try not to touch the crust
  13. Beat cream cheese with vanilla and sugar till creamy
  14. Beat cream in separate bowl till stiff peaks and fold in cream cheese mix
  15. Open the cake first spread strawberry sauce and then cream mix leaving 1" border
  16. Roll it again
  17. Shift in the serving plate dust sugar all over and garnish with strawberries
  18. Refrigerat atleast one hour before serve

My Tip:

To cut the slices use a hot knife

We h e to roll soon after removing from oven or cool it and then roll coz I had roll hit and later for applying filling it got cracks and broke
