Jam Drop Cookies

Ingredients to make Jam Drop Cookies

  • all purpose flour 1 cup
  • Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • salt 1/4 teaspoon
  • Custard powder 1/3 cup
  • Unsalted butter 7 tablespoons
  • sugar 1/3 cup
  • Milk 2 tablespoon
  • Jam (strawberry) 1/4 cup

How to make Jam Drop Cookies

  1. Firstly preheat oven @350°c Mix butter, sugar and milk using a electric mixer. Mix till you get a light fluffy mixture
  2. Now add plain flour, baking soda and salt. Mix using electric mixer
  3. Now add custard powder.
  4. Lightly knead the mixture to make a soft dough. Roll the dough into small balls, place then on a greased tray. Lightly press and make a dent in the centre and fill it with little Jam.
  5. Bake them for 15 mins. Gently remove them after baking, keep them on a cooling rack to cool down completely at least for 5 mins.
  6. Store in air tight container/jar

My Tip:

I used Vanilla custard, but if you have plain custard, add 1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla essence. You can also use other variety of Jam like Orange Marmalade, Pineapple or Blueberry.
