Ingredients to make Roth

  • Whole wheat flour. 1 cup
  • ghee 4tbsp
  • salt 1tsp
  • water to knead

How to make Roth

  1. Take wheat flour in a bowl.
  2. Add salt and 3 tbsp ghee in it.
  3. Knead a hard dough using water.
  4. Now take some dough and roll it a thick roti.
  5. Apply some ghee on it and spread it on whole roti.
  6. Now fold the roti like a fan.
  7. When it's done than starting from one end roll it and go to another end.
  8. Now roll it again
  9. Pinch the edges of the roti with your forefinger and thumb.
  10. Same way pinch the whole roti to give it a design as shown in picture.
  11. Put it on tawa and cook from both sides.
  12. Take it off tawa and now roast it on fire.
  13. Apply just a little ghee now.
  14. Serve hot with gatte ki sabzi or any other curry of your choice.

My Tip:

Make the dough hard. You can make design of your choice. Sometimes I make impressions with bottle cap also.
