Ingredients to make Gulab Jamun

  • 1 cup Milk powder
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp sooji
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • oil to fry
  • For Syrup -
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 Cups water
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom Powder

How to make Gulab Jamun

  1. First prepare the sugar syrup by boiling all ingredients mentioned under sugar syrup for 10 min without stirring.Set it aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl mix flour, baking powder, sooji & milk powder.
  3. Add in the egg.
  4. Make balls out of it.
  5. Deep fry in hot oil.
  6. Throw it in the sugar syrup and let it soak for 2 hrs.

My Tip:

Make sure the sheera is warm and not hot before dipping in the gulab jamuns.
