Fresh green peas ground with ginger to make a sumptuous parantha filling

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup green peas, shelled
  2. 1" piece of Ginger
  3. 1-2 green chilli
  4. Salt as required
  5. 1 cup Wheat Flour
  6. Water for kneading dough

Instructions

  1. Wash green peas and grind them with ginger and green chilli. Use very little water if, required.
  2. Take a pan and add the green peas-ginger mixture in it. On low heat, cook this mixture till it comes together like a dough. Keep stirring all the time. Add salt.
  3. Take whole wheat flour in a bowl and add water little by little to knead to a soft dough. Let it rest for some time.
  4. Pinch a little of the dough, size of a lemon. Half this dough and make 2 small rotis with it. On one roti spread the green peas mixture evenly.
  5. Cover with the other roti and roll again with the rolling pin. Heat a tawa and put the parantha on it. Cook little on both sides and then use ghee on both sides to cook it.
  6. Serve with curd, dal or sabzi
