Ingredients to make McCains / McDonalds Veg Burger Patty

  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 1 cup cabbage, grated
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • A few french beans, boiled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup boiled peas
  • 1 cup poha, soaked and strained
  • salt to taste
  • 1 Teaspoon red chilli Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon haldi
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly roasted jeera, powdered
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mango powder ( amchoor )
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 4 brown bread slices, toasted and coarsely grinded
  • 2 tablespoon maize flour
  • 3 tablespoon maida
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • Ice cold water to make dipping paste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt to taste
  • oil for deep frying the patties

How to make McCains / McDonalds Veg Burger Patty

  1. Take the grated cabbage, carrot, boiled peas, boiled French beans in a big plate.
  2. Boil the potatoes and grate.
  3. Add the potatoes, soaked poha to the cabbage mix and add all masalas, ( seasonings )red chilli powder, salt etc.
  4. Bring the mixture together and shape like a log and cling wrap it.
  5. Keep in the fridge for half an hour.
  6. Powder the roasted bread crumbs.
  7. To prepare the dipping paste for the patty, take the maida,salt , Maize flour ( Makke ka atta ) , cornflour, 1 tablespoon oil and ice cold water. whisk to smooth paste.
  8. Remove the cold patty log and using a sharp knife, cut into thick roundels.
  9. Dip once in the maida paste and then in the bread crumbs.
  10. Deep fry to golden brown.
  11. McCains / McDonalds Burger Patty is ready.
