Ingredients to make Sheer Khurma

  • Dates (khajur) – 4-5 piece
  • vermicelli (seviya)– 1 small bowl
  • sugar – 1 small bowl
  • raisins – 20 gm
  • cashew nut – 30 gm
  • chironji – 1 teaspoon
  • pista – 20 gm
  • almond – 20 gm
  • Green cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon
  • clarified butter – 3 teaspoon (deshi ghee)
  • Milk – ½ liter
  • water – ½ glass or as per required.

How to make Sheer Khurma

  1. Clean the dates, raisins, cashew nut, chironji, pista & almond.
  2. Remove the seeds of dates.
  3. Pour some water into dates, raisins, cashew nut, chironji, pista& almonds separately and keep aside 1 hour
  4. After that remove the water & rub the all dry fruits with help of muslin or soft cloth.
  5. Then finely chopped the cashew nut, Chironji, pista & almonds.
  6. Take a kadhai & switch on the gas on low add 1 tea spoon clarified butter and fry dates till golden brown then keep aside on a plate.
  7. Then add 1 tea spoon clarified butter into the kadhai fry all raisins, cashew nut, chirongi, pista & almonds until golden brown
  8. Again add 1 tea spoon clarified butter into the kadhai and add vermicelli (Seviya) fry till golden brown
  9. After pour some water into the seviya stir well (2 min) then pour milk and stir it well continuously after 3-4 min seviya became soft then add all dry fruit and sugar in it.
  10. Mix and remove the gas after it becomes soft. Add green cardamom powder
  11. Serve
