ABOUT Cheesy Corn Spinach RECIPE

A basic Spinach mash with corn sauteed in butter. Season with just some pepper salt and garlic paste. It's easy and tasty. Use this as a base to the baked spinach corn sandwich filling and bake with white sauce too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 big bunch spinach leaves
  2. 1cup sweèt corn kernels
  3. 1 cup chopped onions
  4. 1/2 tsp cummin
  5. 1tbsp butter
  6. 2 tbsp tomato puree fresh or Godrej tetra pack
  7. salt to taste
  8. 1/2 tsp pepper
  9. 1/2 tsp crushed garlic


  1. Clean and wash Spinach leaves
  2. Add some salt cumin seeds and put to boil with a cup of water
  3. Boil the corn separately
  4. Saute onions in butter add the boiled corn to these and season with salt pepper
  5. Add tomato puree once corn and onion is cooked
  6. Puree the boiled spinach now and add to the onion corn mix
  7. Cook well covered for 5 minutes
  8. Remove and grate amul cheese over the corn spinach
  9. Serve hot
