Ingredients to make Vazhakka Bajji

  • Raw plaintain - 2
  • besan - 1 cup
  • Rice flour - 1tbsp
  • turmeric powder - half tsp
  • salt to taste
  • red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • hing - 1 /4 tsp
  • Cooking soda - 1 pinch
  • water for making batter
  • oil for Deep frying

How to make Vazhakka Bajji

  1. Take a bowl and put Besan & other dry ingredients. Add water and make a thick batter.
  2. Now wash the raw banana/plaintain & cut into thin slices
  3. Dip into the batter till nicely coated & then deep fry them till nicely çrisp.
  4. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney
