Ingredients to make Satvik Allu Ki Sabji

  • Boiled potatoes - 5-6 big in size
  • tomatoes. - 4-5
  • ginger. -1/2 "
  • green chillies as per taste
  • salt (Sendha) as per taste
  • red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper. -1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1/2
  • Garam masala optional

How to make Satvik Allu Ki Sabji

  1. Wash and boil potatoes in a cooker for 4-5 whistles.
  2. Meanwhile finely chopped tomatoes and Green chilies as per your taste, small piece of ginger.
  3. When potatoes are boiled take them out in a sieve and let them cool down.
  4. After cooling down potatoes peel the skin gently and cut into small dice.
  5. Heat desi ghee as we are preparing allu sabji for fasting .
  6. Add chopped tomatoes, green chillies, ginger on low flame .
  7. Add salt (Sendha ) as per taste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder and cover the masala with lid for 2-3 minutes till tomatoes gets tender.
  8. Add diced potatoes and stir it well
  9. Cover the potatoes for 4-5 minutes stir in between slowly .
  10. After 4-5 minutes masala infused in potatoes then switch off the flame.
  11. Serve Satvik allu in a bowl garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
