Ingredients to make Gatta curry

  • Bengal gram flour 1 cup
  • chopped ginger
  • curd 2 tbsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • asafoetida 1 pinch
  • Chopped green chilli
  • curry leaves
  • butter milk 200 gm
  • oil as required
  • salt to taste

How to make Gatta curry

  1. Take a mixing bowl add gram flour, red chilli powder safeties,salt, oil and curd. Make a smooth dough.
  2. Now make a roll of one inches thick. Now cut into small pieces.
  3. Now take a vessel add water to boil. Then pour the gatta pieces bubble will seen and colour also become light. So gatta is cooked. Take from water and keep aside.
  4. Now for curry take a frying pan add oil, curry leaves, mustard seeds, asafoetida, red chilli powder, finely chopped green chilli, finely chopped ginger, turmeric powder. Stir fry.
  5. Now switch off the flame add butter milk slowly. Again put on the flame when boiling add gatta pieces and salt. Now switch off the flame.
  6. Now the gatta curry is ready garnish with chopped coriander.
