Butter Chicken

Ingredients to make Butter Chicken

  • chicken boneless 300 gms cut in cubes
  • For Marination: curd 1 tbspn
  • salt as per taste
  • red chilli powder 1 1/2 tspn
  • Tandoori masala 1 tspn
  • dalchini stick little
  • Laung 2
  • Choti elaichi 2
  • Dry red chilli 1
  • onion big chopped 1
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tbspn
  • tomato chopped 2
  • red chillie powder 1.5 tspn
  • dhania powder 1 tspn
  • salt as required
  • butter 2 tspn
  • oil 2 tspn

How to make Butter Chicken

  1. First marinate chicken with the ingredients given under marination. Marinate for around 2 hrs.
  2. Crush dalchini, choti elaichi and laung. Keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add the above crush mixture, dry red chilli. When it sizzles add chopped onion.
  4. Cook till it become soft then add ginger garlic paste. Roast until it's smell goes away.
  5. Then add tomatoes and all ground masala. Cover and cook for 10 mins until it become soft n mushy.
  6. When done switch off gas. When it cools we will make puree of it.
  7. By the time it cools, take a pan heat butter add the marinated chicken. Cover it and cook until it gives a tandoori chicken texture.
  8. Again heat butter add that puree of masala. Check salt. Then let it cook for 6 mins then add kasoori methi powder n chicken pieces. Then again simmer it for 10 mins.
  9. Its now ready if you wish you can garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with roti or jeera rice.
