Ingredients to make Parotta

  • all purpose flour/maida- 2 cups
  • salt to taste
  • Milk - 1/4 cup
  • egg - 1 nos
  • sugar - 2 tbsp
  • oil - 1/2 cup

How to make Parotta

  1. Take a bowl add maida, salt and egg.
  2. Dissolve sugar in milk and pour it into the flour (maida)
  3. Add 2 or 3 tbsp oil to the flour and start kneading and make it as an soft dough
  4. Cover the dough atleast for 1 hour.
  5. After 1 hour again knead the dough for 2 mins and make it more soft
  6. Then make a small or medium balls from the dough
  7. After that in to that ball pour 1/2 cup of oil and place it for atleast 2 hours
  8. Then start rolling the dough till it becomes very thin
  9. Keep it between 2 fingers and roll it around
  10. Now flatten it by your palm and roll the dough.
  11. Heat the tawa and start cooking parotta
  12. Then finally fluff it up by beating the parotta after it gets cooked.
