ABOUT Pesto malai curry prawns in microwave oven RECIPE

A nice preparation of tiger prawns with pesto which means sauce made with basil. Here I cooked it a little differently with curd in the microwave oven.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 14 pcs - tiger prawns
  2. 250 gms - curd
  3. 1/2 cup - grated coconut
  4. 1 - tomato
  5. 2 inches - grated garlic
  6. 7- 8 garlic cloves
  7. 10 - green chillies
  8. 1 teaspoon - red chilli powder
  9. 1 teaspoon - lime juice
  10. 1 cup - berestha (deep fried onion)
  11. 2 tbsp - ghee
  12. salt
  13. 1 tspn - pepper powder
  14. 2 - cardamom pods
  15. For garnish - chopped walnut and basil

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash the prawns properly.
  2. Marinade the prawns with lime juice, pepper powder and salt for 30 minutes.
  3. Make a paste of tomato, ginger- garlic paste, green chillies, grated coconut and berestha.
  4. Put this paste in a microwave safe bowl, then add cardamom pods and cook in the microwave oven for 15 minutes.
  5. Then add curd, salt and prawns into the paste and mix well.
  6. Cook it again for 5 minutes.
  7. Bring it out of the microwave and drizzle it with ghee, then cover it with a lid.
  8. Give it some time to stand.
  9. Garnish with chopped walnut and basil.
