Broccoli with besan is another alternative healthy Indian dish which goes well with rice or chapati,As broccoli is rich in vitamin c and dietary fibre this would be healthy choice to include in our routine diet

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 large broccoli
  2. 4 to 5 tbsp chick pea flour
  3. sliced garlic
  4. 2 dry red chillies or green chillies
  5. tsp of cumin and mustard seeds
  6. 1\2 tsp split black gram
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. pinch of turmeric
  9. 2tsp coriander powder
  10. 1 tsp cumin powder
  11. 1\2 tsp chat masala
  12. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  13. salt for taste
  14. lime juice for taste
  15. cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Take broccoli and cut into small size florets
  2. Take a wide pan and add oil when oil is heated add cumin, mustard seeds. when they crackle add half tsp split black gram, dry red chilies , sliced garlic, curry leaves and fry for few seconds
  3. Add broccoli florets and cook for few minutes
  4. Take a bowl and add chick pea flour.Add in all spices red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric, chat masala, salt.Add a tsp of oil and mix flour with added spices.
  5. Sprinkle chick pea flour on broccoli florets, uncover and cook for few minutes.Do not mix after adding besan
  6. Finally squeeze lime juice and serve with rice or chapathi
