Ingredients to make Raw Banana 65

  • Raw bananas - 2
  • For Marination : red chilli Powder - 2 tsp
  • dhania Jeera Powder - 11/2 tsp
  • turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Cornflour - 11/2 tbsp
  • ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • For Tempering : Large onion, chopped into cubes - 1
  • green chillies - 2
  • curry leaves - 1 to 2 springs
  • red chilli Powder - 3/4 tsp
  • curd - 1/2 Cup
  • salt to taste
  • Soy Sauce - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • capsicum - 1/2

How to make Raw Banana 65

  1. Peel, wash and chop the raw banana into chunks of equal size. soak In salt water for sometime then wash and strain.
  2. Put the pieces in a wide vessel and add the spice powders and ginger garlic paste. Mix well. Add salt to taste.
  3. Add the flours and mix well so that all the pieces get coated well.
  4. Now deep fry in small batches. Take them out on a kitchen towel.
  5. To temper : Heat a wide pan, add a tbsp or two of the oil used for deep frying. Add chopped onions, stir and add capsicum. Make some space in the center and add red chilli powder. Add the curd and mix well.
  6. Now add the fried raw Banana pieces and mix well. Sprinkle salt and soy sauce if desired. Mix and cover for 3 to 4 minutes.
  7. Have it as a starter with soup or as an accompaniment with rice and curry.
