ABOUT Cornflakes Cereal Chivda RECIPE

Cornflakes can also be used to prepare healthy and spicy chivda. As we are using cereal corn flakes instead of makai raw corn flakes which has to be deep fried these are more healthy and tasty too. Add nuts and seeds of your choice.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cereal Cornflakes - Kellogg or any brand
  2. Nuts (peanuts, roasted dal (putnalu), almonds or cashews) - as per requirement
  3. Sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds - as desired
  4. Raisins - a handful
  5. Curry leaves - a few
  6. Red chilli powder - as per your spice threshold
  7. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  8. Salt - to taste
  9. Any cooking oil - 1 tbs

Instructions

  1. Heat a few teaspoons of oil in a wide vessel. Add sunflower seeds, roasted dal (putnalu), peanuts and curry leaves. Roast for few minutes. Add almonds and raisins and stir.
  2. Now add your favorite spices, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Give it a mix.
  3. Keep the flame low and add cornflakes, mix so that spices get blended with corn flakes.
  4. Enjoy crispy corn flakes with tea.
