ABOUT Urad Daal Methi RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad daal - 250 gram
  2. Methi leaves - 250 gram
  3. Whole red chilies - 5
  4. Salt as required
  5. Oil - 2 tsp
  6. Green chilies - 5 (chopped)
  7. Ghee - 4 tsp


  1. Wash urad dal and methi leaves very well. Chop the leaves fine and set aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan, add heeng powder and khadi lal mirch, fry for 1 min then add green chilies and methi leaves, saute till they turn dark green.
  3. Add daal, salt and half cup water and cover the pan with lid. Cook till daal becomes soft and all the water gets absorbed.
  4. Urad daal methi is ready to serve. Take it out in a serving dish and eat with hot phulkas.
