ABOUT Roohafza And Basil Coolant RECIPE

This particular one is unique in more ways than one. It has basil seeds along with Pomegranate Kernels and Roohafza. A very refreshing one indeed. It should be served chilled and fruits can also be added and can be of one's own choice and liking. Jelly also can be used with flavours of your choice. Simple yet so elegant and colourful apart from being healthy ofcourse. Basil seeds add that cooling effect and i make this every other day to beat the blazing heat of the sun here in the Middle East. Come Summers and there is absolutely a tough time for most of us. To beat the scorching heat of the sun, there is nothing better than this Coolant. I have used Vanilla Ice Cream to serve this beautiful looking Coolant to family and friends. However it is entirely optional and this tastes equally good without it too. And what better way to subdue our hunger pangs or midnight cravings than gulping down a chilled glass of this satiating drink. It helps keep our body cool and has a soothing effect on our stomach plus tastes yummy too.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Basil seeds 2 tbsp
  2. Sugar 2 tbsp
  3. Vanilla Ice-cream 1 cup
  4. Pomegranate Kernels 1/4 cup
  5. Roohafza 2-3 tbsp
  6. water 2-3 cups

Instructions

  1. Soak Basil seeds in 4 tablespoon of water for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, refrigerate them just to keep them chilled.
  2. Add roohafza, pomegranate kernels and basil seeds to water along with sugar. Stir well and refrigerate until use.
  3. Serve it chilled at anytime with a big dollop of your favourite ice - cream.
