Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Besan - 1 cup
  2. Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
  3. Water - as required
  4. Refined oil
  5. Few colours
  6. Sugar syrup
  7. Sugar - 1 cup
  8. water - 1.5 cup
  9. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  10. Elaichi powder- 1/2 tsp
  11. Kewra water - few drops


  1. Make a thin batter with besan ,soda and water and beat it till it becomes fluffy.
  2. Add yellow colour.
  3. Now heat ample amount of oil and pour the batter through a ladle with holes into it.
  4. Fry them and strain them on paper towels.
  5. Now heat the sugar with water to make the syrup, add lemon juice to clear the impurities.
  6. Make one string sugar syrup, add the elaichi powder and Kewra water.
  7. Mix in the fried boondi into the syrup and heat for few minutes and let it cool down for 1 -2 hours.
  8. Serve
