Paneer Jalfarezi

Ingredients to make Paneer Jalfarezi

  • paneer 200 gm
  • carrot 1/4 cup
  • onion medium size 1
  • Green capsicum medium 1
  • green chilly 1
  • tomato Medium size 1
  • Tomatto purre 1/4 cup
  • cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • tomato Ketchup 1 Tbsp
  • red chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1 /8 teaspoon
  • coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder 1/4 tea spoon
  • salt to taste
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander 2 tbsp (for garnish)

How to make Paneer Jalfarezi

  1. Firstly cut paneer into 2 inch strips.
  2. Get ready with sliced onion,carrot cut into 2 inch long strips,finely chopped green capsicum, finely chopped green chilly, cut tomato without seeded and lengthwise
  3. Heat oil in a pan on medium flame
  4. Add cumin seeds
  5. When cumin seeds start to turn light brown add sliced onion and soute until it becomes translucent.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry for a minue
  7. Add carrot,capsicum and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  8. Add tomato and green chilly and cook for a minute.
  9. Add tomato puree and stir cook for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Add tomato ketchup,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder and salt.
  11. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  12. Add 1/3 cup water and cook for 2 minutes.
  13. Add paneer cubes and mix well.
  14. Cook until gravy turns thick for approx 2-3 .Minutes.
  15. Turn off flame and transfer sabji to a serving bowl.
  16. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

My Tip:

Use a non stick pan to avoid sticking and burning of curry. If you like to have dry paneer jalfrezi then don't add water
