    Crab Biryani

    Ingredients to make Crab Biryani

    • 6 - 7 medium sized crabs
    • 4 tbs roasteddry coconut pdr
    • 3 medium sized sliced onions
    • 4 - 5 tbs oil
    • 1 bowl crab stock ( grind small legs of crabs with 1 cup water ..then sieve it )
    • 2 tsp kashmiri chilly pdr
    • 1 1/2 tsp tikha red chilly pdr
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala
    • 2 tbs dhana - jeera pdr
    • 1 1/2 tbs garlic - jeera paste ( 1/2 spoon jeera + 20 - 25 garlic pods)
    • 350 gms. Basmati rice
    • Whole garam masala ( 2 tej patta , 4 green cardmom , 4 pepper corns , 4 cloves & 1 Cinnamon stick)
    • 2 tbs gram flour
    • 2 tsp tamrind pulp
    • salt
    • Chopped mint n coriander leaves.

    How to make Crab Biryani

    1. First wash basmati rice and keep in water for 30 min.
    2. Add whole garam masala and salt ..
    3. Cook rice until 70% rice done.
    4. Sieve it and keep aside.
    5. Take oil in a big pan ...Add sliced onions
    6. Saute till onions become brown in colour
    7. Add garlic - jeera paste
    8. Saute till you get nice aroma
    9. Now add all dry masalas ...Saute further.
    10. Add roasted coconut pdr..Slower down the flame
    11. Add gram flour and saute properly..Till you get the nice aroma. Roast for 3- 4 min.
    12. Add chopped few chopped Coriander leaves..Mix well
    13. Now add crabs
    14. Mix well...All the crabs should be properly coated with masalas
    15. Add tamarind pulp...stir
    16. Add crab stock
    17. Add 1&1/2 cup hot water
    18. Add salt and cook the crabs for 12 -15 min..On medium flame
    19. When gravy thickens spread rice on it ...Slower down the flame..
    20. Cover the pan properly with a lid ..Cook for 10 min.
    21. Now slowly open the lid and check ...All the water is absorbed and rice is fully properly cooked
    22. After 10 min. serve with sliced onions and lemon wedges
