Ingredients to make Crab kosha

  • Crab- 1 kg
  • Large onion-1 sliced
  • garlic-12 pieces chopped
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder-3 tsp
  • turmeric-2 tsp
  • lime-1
  • Salt and sugar as per taste

How to make Crab kosha

  1. De-shell the crabs and boil for 10 min adding salt, turmeric and lime.
  2. Add enough water to cover the crabs.
  3. Once boiled, drain the water and keep aside the crab.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add the sliced onions.Fry at low flame till golden brown.Just add a tbsp of sugar.
  5. To it add the chopped garlic, Kashmiri red chilli powder and cook for around 5 min.
  6. Next add the crabs and give it a good stir.
  7. Add salt and little water and cover and cook at sim for 10 minutes.
  8. It should be a little gravy kind.
  9. Serve hot with rice.

My Tip:

Do not use vinegar for marination. Use only lime.
