Ingredients to make Aloo Bukhara/Aloo Bokhra/ Plum Chutney

  • 5 aloo Bukhara/ plum(cut into small pieces)
  • 1 dried red chili
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • 2 tsp Panch Phoran (cumin, caraway, fennel, fenugreek, mustard seeds)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt

How to make Aloo Bukhara/Aloo Bokhra/ Plum Chutney

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add dried red chilli and Panch Phoran, when it starts crackling, add Aloo Bukhara pieces. Stir for 2 minutes then add 1/2 cup of water and let it cook in medium flame until Aloo Bukhara is well cooked.
  2. After Aloo Bukhara is soft and tender add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and sugar. Cook until all ingredients mix properly and consistency of chutney is thick.
  3. Serve after it is cooled completely.
