Ice cream melting inside a crisp shell makes a sensational finale to any special meal occasion. Just few ingredients and a amazing dessert is ready.

  1. Home made vanilla ice cream ingredients :
  2. 1 cup fresh whisked cream.
  3. 1/2 cup sugar.
  4. 1 tbsp corn flour.
  5. 1/2 cup full fat milk.
  6. 1 tsp vanilla essence.
  7. Shell ingredients:
  8. 3- 4 tbsp crushed cornflakes.
  9. 2 tbsp of all purpose flour and water thick paste.
  10. Oil for frying.


  1. In a pan whisk together corn flour ,vanilla essence ,sugar and milk until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Cook this on on medium flame stirring continously until the mixture thickens up.
  3. Do not over cook it.
  4. Strain the mixture after cooling for a while.
  5. Chill it in the freeze.
  6. With the electric beater blend the custard mixture along with whipped cream.
  7. Mix properly.
  8. Pour this mixture in a container and refrigerate it for 6-8 hours.
  9. Most important step of the recipe; working quickly take out 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream prepared; on a tray .
  10. Give it a good round shape and refrigerate it once again for about 1 hour.
  11. Take the crushed cornflakes in a shallow bowl.
  12. Again working quickly, roll the frozen balls in the cornflakes and refrigerate it for 1 hour.
  13. Now take the coated balls and dip in the all purpose flour mixture and again roll them in the cornflakes.
  14. This is the second coating. Refrigerate for another 1 hour.
  15. Heat oil in a pan, fry the ice cream balls for 15 secs until golden.
  16. Remove on a absorbent paper and serve immediately.
  17. Without any further delay just enjoy it.
