ABOUT Rhododendron doughnuts RECIPE

Quercetin and Rutin are found in burans flower. Quercetin is known to relieve inflammation of prostate, kidney and urinary bladder. Rutin is helpful in treating painful ulcers in mouth and gastrointestinal tract and ued for osteoarthritis. I made Buransh juice sauce to glaze these doughnuts to increase health benifits.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For Doughnuts:=
  2. Sugar 1/2cup
  3. Dry instant yeast 1tsp
  4. 2 n 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  5. 1 tsp Baking powder
  6. Salt 1 tsp
  7. Butter 1/2cup
  8. Egg 1
  9. Oil for frying
  10. Buransh extract 1tbsp
  11. For Rhodendron glaze = :
  12. Sugar 1/2 cup
  13. Rhodendron concentrate 2 cups
  14. For lemon glaze
  15. 1/2 cup castor sugar
  16. Lemon juice 1tbsp


  1. First of all heat 10ml of water to dissolve yeast
  2. Add sugar , salt to it and let it rest for 2 minutes...you may watch the liquid bubbling..
  3. Mix egg, flour ,butter to the risen yeast and knead a smooth dough
  4. Let this dough rest for 1hr to become double in size.
  5. Now heat a pan and pour Rhododendron juice .
  6. Add sugar to this juice
  7. Let it boil for five minutes and keep stirring to make a thick syrup.
  8. Now keep it aside and make lemon glaze by mixing sugar , lemon juice all together...keep this mixture in a dry and cool it
  9. Now roll out the dough in a 1 cm thick chapati and cut into doughnuts shapes.
  10. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry them out
  11. Dip the doughnuts into Buransh glaze
  12. Add lemon glaze and enjoy eating with your kids & friends...
