ABOUT Kachagolla RECIPE

It is a traditional bengali sweet recipe which is very popular in Kolkata. It is very easy to make also as it is just made from pure chenna it is very healthy.

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. Cow Milk 1.5 litre
  2. Curd 3/4 cup
  3. Ghee 3 tablespoon
  4. Sugar as per your taste
  5. Cardamom powder 2 teaspoon
  6. For garnishing chopped almond 2-3

Instructions

  1. Take the milk in a heavy bottomed wok. Let it boil on medium heat.
  2. Beat the curd and keep aside.
  3. When bubbles starts to come in milk add beaten curd. Stir it.
  4. Within few minutes you can see milk starts curdling. When the milk is totally curdled, switch off the flame.
  5. Strain it using a muslin cloth and squeeze it to drain the extra water.
  6. Hang it for 30 minutes so that all extra whey will be drained out.
  7. After that take the chenna in a mixing bowl and add sugar in it.
  8. Knead the chenna dough properly.
  9. Take ghee in a pan and let it melt.
  10. Pour the chenna dough in it and stir it at low flame.
  11. Add cardamom powder to chenna and remove it from the heat.
  12. Let it cool at the temperature at which your hand can tolerate. Take a small portion of it and make chenna ball. Now your kacha golla is ready.
  13. Before serving garnish it with chopped almonds. Serve!
